I first came to Dr. Amy with pain and tightness in my left shoulder and neck. I could barely turn my head. When I found her I was actually looking for a massage and some relief. With massage, adjustments, and e-stim therapy, I received almost immediate relief. I've been a competitive athlete most of my life and feel I am in close communication with my body - hear and understand what it is telling me in the subtlest of situations. Because of this I've searched for a Chiropractor who shared this understanding of my body. I can tell you it is a rare thing, but I have found this in Dr. Amy. I can't tell you where she gets the sixth sense, other than perhaps the great combination of skills in her training or her open minded approach to effective therapies, but I can tell you that when I leave her office I feel like there are no physical limitations on my performance. As a result, I finished the 2012 Charlotte Motor Speedway (Bicycle) Time Trial Series 2nd in my age group and set a personal record of 22:13 or 27 MPH for 10 miles. Thank you Dr. Amy.

Six weeks before I was scheduled to run the St. Jude half marathon, I called Contour Chiropractic in a desperate attempt to ease pain in my left leg in order to continue my training program for the fast approaching 13.1 mile race. After all, friends had pledged money to support the great work of St. Jude, I had been training for months, reservations had been made, and I was not about to let everyone down. At the time I made the call to Contour, I was sitting at my desk with my right leg propped on a box, a dose of Motrin just consumed, and a golf ball under my thigh as a crazy attempt to activate the pressure point. I had hobbled through a 10 mile run the previous week, and my time was way off. I was really beginning to doubt whether or not I could pull off the half marathon. I made the call and was scheduled for an appointment the very next day during my lunch from work. From the moment I entered Contour's door, I was treated like I truly mattered and quickly felt like help was definitely on the way. A carefully thought out and developed plan began with x-rays and included spinal adjustments and electric stim. After several weeks of care, race day arrived and I was ready for the 13.1 miles. I finished the whole 13.1 miles at the race on Saturday and was back in the office on Monday for follow up care. Though skeptical about chiropractic care at first, my desperation led me to a solution that has worked well for me since. I enjoy running and spin class, and my regular maintenance care from Contour helps to ensure that each mile run is one without pain. Thank you Dr. Amy and Chris!

I was having problems with my feet having tingling and restless feeling. I went to a neurologist, they treated me for Restless Leg Syndrome, also Neuropathy for about 10 years. But I kept having the same problems over and over and he finally gave up on me, told me to go back to my regular doctor. My regular doctor sent me to Gastonia to see a different doctor. They started doing more testing that was getting expensive, to tell me what I had already been told. So finally I decided to try a chiropractor. I had been hurting for the past 6 weeks, getting very little sleep at night because I had to walk the floors for any kind of relief. After 2 visits with Dr. Amy, I was sleeping all night long, no more walking the floors. I also noticed that my sinus's were clearing up and I could actually blow my nose which was something I have not been able to do for years. I feel like a different person with my mind & body. The left side of my lower back was causing my leg to go numb, spreading down to my knee and past. I was hesitant about seeing a chiropractor. I have osteoarthritis and had pain in my shoulder from calcium build-up on the bones. I did not know my neck and back where out of alignment. I came to see Dr. Amy because I couldn't turn my head very far. I had pain in my right leg and lower back, as well as cramping in my middle finger on my right hand. My finger would lock into place and I had a terrible time getting it to straighten out. After Dr. Amy took x-rays of my neck, it showed my neck was straight and not curved like it should be. After adjustments I can turn my neck with my chin even with my shoulder on both sides and my finger is not cramping and locking into place like it had been. Dr. Amy also adjusted my lower back and right hip, and it feels better than it has in 22 years.

I was suffering from overall poor health which includes: Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Headaches, Sinus Issues, Dizziness, Low Back Pain, Foot Pain, and Pain in my Hands. After a couple of treatments on my foot, there is no more pain (a bone was our of place). I had suffered with this foot for over 2 years. I was recommended by my son and daughter-in-law to start seeing Dr. Amy was because I was having sharp pain in my lower back and right hip. I had trouble walking for long periods of time and had trouble laying down in bed. I have been experiencing back problems for years. I went to the doctors years ago and they told me that I had a Kyphosis. I was told that I needed surgery and that the only thing that would help would be to insert a rod in the help straighten the back. However, doing this would decrease my movement. When I asked my doctor if seeing a chiropractor would help, they told me no. Recently my mom took me to Dr. Amy to see if she could help me with my back pain. After the first adjustment, I felt immediate relief. It was the first time since I was 14 years old that I felt any kind of relief of pain. The results I have had with Dr. Amy has been great.
